Patcherly Desktop

Optional Windows / macOS / Linux app that opens the same hosted dashboard (app.patcherly.com) in a native window, keeps a system tray icon, and can show OS notifications for allowlisted error workflow events.

Download

Installers are published to the public Patcherly downloads feed (https://download.patcherly.com/desktop). Get the current Windows or Linux build from the Patcherly website Download page (buttons always resolve to the latest feed release). macOS app not available yet.

Windows Setup uninstalls cleanly (removes app data, shortcuts, protocol handler, and launch-at-login). On macOS, drag the app out of Applications; on Linux, remove the .deb / AppImage as usual. Operator cleanup scripts exist in the private desktop repository for full AppData wipes during testing - they are not required for normal uninstall.

What it does

  • Loads the hosted dashboard (same login, workspaces, and RBAC as the browser)
  • Stays connected for live notifications while the window is hidden to the tray
  • Optional OS notification actions (Analyze / Ignore / Approve / Retry) that run inside the signed-in page
  • Preferences (Patcherly menu / tray) controls launch at login, automatic updates, and which events show OS toasts (superadmin-only operator alerts appear there only while signed in as superadmin). Desktop Preferences cannot override a template disabled in Settings → Email, or an event turned off in Profile Notifications.
  • About Patcherly (Help / tray) shows version (click to copy), Updates (with a link to Preferences), and license

What it does not do

  • It does not run a separate Patcherly server or bundle the dashboard offline
  • Desktop OS notification toggles are not on Profile → Notifications (browser Profile stays email / in-app / chat only)
  • Closing the window hides to tray; use Quit from the tray menu to exit
