Plan limits¶
Every Patcherly plan includes usage limits each billing period — how many targets you can connect, how many fixes you can run, team seats, and which features are enabled. Pricing lists current numbers; your dashboard shows live usage and the reset date for your workspace.
What is limited¶
| Area | What it means |
|---|---|
| Targets | Websites or apps you connect with a connector |
| Fixes | AI analyses that complete with full file context and return a usable fix suggestion |
| Team seats | Members who can manage the workspace (view-only access may not count the same way) |
| Features | Plan capabilities such as auto-analysis, auto-apply, custom AI keys, priority support |
Exact caps differ by Personal, Core, and Pro. Upgrade paths and feature lists are on Plans & billing and Pricing.
Where to check usage¶
| What you need | Where |
|---|---|
| Fixes used vs limit, reset date | Usage (main menu) |
| AI summary and platform-key allowance | Profile → AI |
| Targets and seats vs plan | Targets page; downgrade preview on Profile → Billing |
| WordPress plugin status bar | Connected wp-admin (fixes, targets, members) |
For how fixes are counted (what does and does not use quota), see Usage analytics.
When usage resets¶
- Paid plans (Core, Pro): on your Stripe billing date (same window as invoices).
- Personal: on a monthly cycle from when the workspace started on Personal, or when you moved back from a paid plan.
Platform AI vs your own keys¶
By default, analysis runs on Patcherly's platform AI keys. Your plan's included AI allowance for those keys is shown on Profile → AI alongside your fix quota.
Plans with Custom AI let you store OpenAI / Anthropic keys and turn on Use my own AI keys. While that toggle is on, analysis bills through your provider instead of Patcherly's included allowance. Fix-quota rules differ by plan (some tiers treat fixes as unlimited with BYOK). See Bring your own API keys (BYOK).
Notifications and warnings¶
When usage on some limits reaches about 80% of your plan allowance, workspace admins may get an in-app notification and email (if enabled). Open Profile → AI or Usage for the same numbers and an Upgrade plan shortcut.
When you reach a limit¶
Analysis or other gated actions may return 402 (Payment Required) or show a Cap reached banner on affected errors. Typical next steps:
- Upgrade — Profile → Billing or Pricing for a higher tier.
- BYOK — if your plan includes Custom AI, enable Use my own AI keys under Profile → AI.
- Wait for reset — usage counters refresh on the dates above.
Fair-use, rate limits, and abuse protections still apply on every plan — see the Acceptable Use Policy.
Need a higher limit?¶
Open Support from the bottom of the dashboard sidebar if your team's normal usage consistently hits plan ceilings — we can suggest an upgrade or BYOK where it fits.
