Plans

Prices and inclusions: use the Pricing page as the source of truth—it stays in sync when plans change. On that page, paid tiers that offer both monthly and yearly billing default to monthly until you switch the toggle.

Existing accounts: Open ProfileBilling when you are signed in as the workspace owner (the primary account your workspace is registered to). There you’ll see your plan, payment history, included usage for the current period, Upgrade/Downgrade actions, Cancel subscription when applicable, and Manage billing.

Paid vs Personal — “monthly” vs billing period: On paid plans (Core, Pro), included fixes and reset timing follow your Stripe subscription billing period (the same window as your invoice), not necessarily a calendar month. On the Personal plan (the no-cost tier), usage resets on a monthly cycle from when the workspace started on Personal (or from when you moved back to Personal after a paid plan).

What happens when you downgrade

When you move to a lower-tier plan (for example Pro → Core or any paid plan → Personal/Free), Patcherly automatically shrinks your workspace to fit the new plan's limits as soon as the change goes through.

Before you confirm, the dashboard shows a preview like:

Downgrading to Core will:

  • Deactivate 2 of 5 targets (oldest first; you can pick which ones to keep first by removing the ones you don't need)
  • Disable auto-apply on the remaining targets when the new plan does not include it (auto-apply is separate from auto-analysis — each has its own per-target toggle)
  • Disable auto-analysis on the remaining targets when the new plan does not include it (for example Pro → Personal)
  • Demote 3 of 6 users to view-only access
  • Turn off advanced fixes, advanced error monitoring, and priority support

If any of these don't match what you expected, cancel the downgrade and clean up first, then come back. The preview never makes changes by itself.

Once the downgrade is applied:

  • Deactivated targets stop receiving fixes immediately and their connector OAuth tokens are revoked. You can re-activate them on the higher plan, or remove them entirely.
  • Demoted users keep their account but lose admin actions until you re-promote them on a plan that includes more user seats.
  • You receive an in-app notification summarizing exactly what changed.

When plans change

If what a subscription includes or costs is updated, we email you and may show a notice under Profile → Billing. Until your current period ends, you keep what you signed up for. You can accept the new terms for the next period or decline (subscription ends at period end, similar to declining a price change). If you miss the deadline shown, the subscription may be set to cancel automatically.

Billing currency vs display currency

  • Billing currency is chosen on Pricing, at registration, or under Profile → Billing (when offered). It selects a Stripe price variant — not the same as Profile → Preferences → Display currency.
  • Display currency only affects how some numbers are formatted in the dashboard; it does not change what you are charged in.
  • After you subscribe, your plan's currency is the one you picked at checkout in Stripe.
  • One logical price can have multiple currency amounts in Stripe; you still pick one currency at checkout for your subscription.

Tiers (who each is for)

Up-to-date plan features, limits, and prices are always on the Pricing page.

Personal

Best for trying the product and small or personal use before you commit.

Core

Best for small teams that want a paid workspace with room to grow day to day. Includes auto-analysis on targets you enable (you still approve fixes manually; auto-apply is a Pro feature).

Pro

Best for larger or more demanding use—teams and organizations that need the highest ceilings and the fullest offering.

Priority support: Pro includes a dedicated support channel in the dashboard (Support in the sidebar). When the portal is enabled, you are signed into our ticketing site with your account email to create and track tickets. Community help on Discord remains available on all plans.

Free trial

Paid plans may include a trial—see Pricing for duration and terms.

During registration (plan step), you’ll see the current trial terms when trial mode is enabled (for example, X trial days on paid plans). The plan step defaults to monthly pricing when both intervals exist, and pre-selects the lowest paid tier so you can change tier or interval before checkout (Pro preview locks the Pro plan but still lets you browse currency and interval).

If you cancel before trial ends in Account → Billing, you are not charged for the paid plan and your workspace is automatically moved to Personal.

If you don’t cancel, Stripe charges the plan you selected after the trial period, according to your billing interval.

After a trial cancellation and automatic move to Personal, you can upgrade again later from Account → Billing.

We may send reminder emails before trial end depending on workspace settings.

Where to go

Goal Where
Compare plans Pricing
New account (Personal, trial, or paid) Pricing links → /register?plan=.... Paid uses Stripe Checkout at the end of signup.
Logged in — card, invoices, plan changes ProfileBilling. Use plan cards for Upgrade/Downgrade and Manage billing (Stripe portal) for payment method, cancellation, and invoice details.
Cancel paid plan ProfileBillingCancel subscription, or the portal if enabled

The dashboard Upgrade link opens Pricing in a new tab. Existing workspaces change plans in Profile → Billing / Stripe, not via Get started on the marketing page.

Stripe: plan changes and proration

ProfileBillingManage billing opens Stripe’s customer portal (see Stripe Payments for regional payment methods).

Proration: mid-cycle plan changes are settled by Stripe for the remainder of the period, not as if you paid the new price twice.

Downgrade: if you exceed the new plan’s limits, reduce usage (e.g. targets) before or after switching; the app will reflect limits.

Price updates on an active subscription

You may get email and an in-app prompt to review a new price.

ProfileBilling: Confirm continues at the new rate after the current period; Cancel (or missing the deadline) means no renewal at the new price—access until the period you paid for ends, then movement toward Personal limits as with any cancellation.

Cancel subscription

  1. ProfileBilling (admins).
  2. Cancel subscription on a paid plan if not already scheduled.
  3. Confirm: access until period end, then no renewal. Optional feedback, then confirm or keep.

The UI shows Cancels at period end until that date. Portal cancellation works if enabled there.

Failed renewal

Stripe will email you to update payment. Fix the method to avoid interruption; repeated failure may move the workspace toward Personal limits (e.g. excess targets disabled, data kept). Open Support from the bottom of the dashboard sidebar if you need help.

Refunds

Fees are non-refundable except where law requires.

Invoices

See Invoices — history and PDFs on Profile → Billing, hosted by Stripe.

Bring your own API keys (BYOK)

Plans that include Custom AI let you store OpenAI and/or Anthropic keys under Profile → AI. Use the Use my own AI keys toggle so those keys (and your provider/model choices) are actually used for analysis. When the toggle is off, Patcherly uses platform keys and defaults—your keys stay saved but are not applied.

Some plans describe fixes as unlimited when you use your own keys with the toggle on: in that situation, automated fixes are not counted against the plan’s monthly fix quota in the usual way (see Usage analytics). Fair-use, rate limits, and abuse protections still apply—see the Acceptable Use Policy.

AI usage costs in the dashboard (estimates)

The Usage page may show dollar amounts derived from token counts × rate assumptions Patcherly uses for estimates (USD per 1M tokens per provider/model, synced from public pricing sources on a weekly cadence). Those figures are estimates for analytics. Actual AI spend is always on OpenAI, Anthropic, or whichever provider bills your API keys. See Usage analytics.

Plan limits (usage each period)

Targets, fixes, team seats, plan features, and included platform AI allowance are all bounded by your plan. See Plan limits for where counters appear in the dashboard, how fixes are counted, reset timing, and what to do when you hit a ceiling.
