Welcome to Patcherly Help Center¶
Welcome to the Patcherly Help Center! Here you'll find comprehensive documentation and guides to help you get the most out of Patcherly.
What is Patcherly?¶
Patcherly is an AI-powered automated program repair service: it collects errors from your apps, analyzes them, proposes patches, applies them with a backup first, then checks that your site still works. It is not a 24/7 uptime monitoring product — see Product scope.
Plans and limits¶
Many capabilities—such as numbers of targets or fixes per period, auto-analysis, agent testing, metrics exports, app restart automation, and other options—depend on your workspace plan. Personal (no-cost) and paid (Core, Pro) tiers differ, and limits can change. For current plan names, features, and trials, use the Pricing page on the main Patcherly site. For usage counters, reset dates, and what happens at a limit, see Plan limits. In-product labels (e.g. in Profile → Billing) always reflect what your workspace has today. Billing, refunds, trials, and cancellations are governed by the Terms of Service and Acceptable Use (including rules for third-party purchases and termination for breach).

Getting Started¶
New to Patcherly? Start here:
- Product scope - What Patcherly does and does not do (mission and boundaries)
- Onboarding (dashboard) - Setup checklist, page tours, and Test Mode quick start
- Introduction - Learn what Patcherly is and how it works
- Registration - Create your account
- Password reset - Forgot password and reset link
- Adding Your First Target - Set up your first application
- Installing a Connector - Connect your application
- Path rules for targets - Two lists: monitoring exclusions vs patch-pipeline exclusions
- Custom Log Paths - Configure custom log files for context collection
- Test Mode - Send sample errors safely (30-minute window per target)
- Connector Management - Discover, initialize, and monitor connectors
Connectors¶
Start with Connectors overview — what connectors do, pre-apply backups, security, and hardening. Then choose your stack:
- WordPress Connector - WordPress plugin installation and configuration
- Node.js Connector - NPM package for Node.js applications
- Python Connector - PIP package for Python applications
- PHP Connector - Standalone PHP script for PHP applications
Error Management¶
Learn how to manage errors and fixes:
- Understanding Errors - How errors are detected and processed
- Approving Fixes - Review and approve AI-generated fixes
- Quarantined patches - When Patcherly blocks a fix for prompt-injection risk
- Auto-Analysis - Skip the manual Analyze with AI click so new errors go straight to AI (paid plan feature — see Pricing)
- Rollback - Automatic and manual rollback; outcomes and repeat suggestions (per-workspace patch efficacy inside Patcherly — recording on every plan, prior-example feedback to new AI analysis on Core and Pro plans via the Patch Learning feature — never foundation-model training on your code)
- Manual Fixes - Apply fixes manually if needed
- Context Collection - How context collection improves AI analysis
- Restarting apps - When a restart is needed after a fix (manual steps and dashboard guidance)
- App restart automation - Optional automated shell commands after a successful patch on Python / Node.js targets (availability and limits depend on your plan — see Pricing)
- Finding errors and targets - Quick search (⌘K / Ctrl+K) and Errors page filters
Security¶
Customer-facing security layers — start with the Security overview, then drill into a topic:
- Prompt injection protection — multi-layer AI defense, dashboard badges, and what to do
- Quarantined patches — when a fix is held for human review
- Protection mode — per-target connector pause after repeated suspicious events
- Custom sanitizer patterns — extra regex redaction for your secrets
- Post-apply restart safety — safeguards for automated shell steps after a patch
- Login throttling — protection against password-guessing at sign-in
- Authenticator two-factor — TOTP second factor for your account
- FAQ — Security and prompt injection — short Q&A
Analytics & Reporting¶
Track what happened in your workspace, the value delivered, and AI spend:
- Profile, preferences & account - Display name, formats, notifications vs billing tabs; saving profile cards
- Workspaces and team members - Switch workspaces, invite team members, and permissions
- Authenticator two-factor (TOTP) - Enroll authenticator app, workspace optional policy, and forced enrollment
- Audit Logs - What happened, when, and who did it - filter, search, and export your workspace activity (logins, security, error workflow, user actions)
- Understanding metric cards - What each Business Metrics card means and how it's calculated
- Exporting Business Metrics - Export Business Metrics in CSV/XLSX/PDF formats
- Usage Analytics - Track AI token usage and costs (separate from Business Metrics and Audit)
- Data export and account deletion - Download your data or request account deletion from Profile
- Data retention on your workspace - What is kept indefinitely (aggregated metrics, AI usage), what is pruned by plan window (raw error / audit history), and the 30-day downgrade grace
Notifications¶
Stay informed about important events:
- Notification Management - Configure email and in-app notification preferences
- Chat & webhook notifications - Connect Slack, Discord, or Teams from Profile, or use an other-tool webhook
- Email notification preferences - Profile toggles and one-click unsubscribe links in optional emails
Billing & Plans¶
Manage your subscription:
- Plans - Plans overview, Stripe billing, upgrade/downgrade/cancel, price updates when your plan’s Stripe price changes (Pricing for current limits); billing currency vs Preferences display currency (metrics-only); one logical plan can list several billed currencies (you still pick one at checkout)
- Pro preview trial - Full Pro limits during signup when a trial is offered; what happens when it ends
- Invoices - View and download invoices and receipts (after Stripe Checkout during signup, the dashboard thank-you page also links to Stripe-hosted invoice PDF/URL when available)
- Plan limits - Included usage per billing period (targets, fixes, seats), where to check counters, and what to do when you reach a limit
